Ops Intelligence — Fleet & Dispatch Cockpit
Turn archipelago-scale dredging operations into live fleet visibility, dispatch decisions, and export-ready project snapshots.

Problem
Dredging contractors in Indonesia operate like a distributed logistics company with floating heavy equipment—vessels, pontoons, pumps, rigs, crews—moving across an archipelago where mobilization time, site access, and downtime determine profitability. Yet operational control is often fragmented across WhatsApp updates, spreadsheets, and inconsistent daily logs. The result is predictable leakage: idle days that go unnoticed, mobilization costs that are underestimated, project phases that drift without early warnings, and reporting that depends on manual effort. When a client calls, the contractor needs to respond fast and confidently: which assets are available, how quickly they can reach the site, and what risks might derail the commitment.
Solution
Kolabs.Design built Ops Intelligence for a client: a map-first operations cockpit that makes fleet status and project execution legible in one place. It visualizes assets and projects across Indonesia, tracks work phases (Mobilisasi → Survey → Lokasi → Perakitan → Operasi → Disposal), and helps dispatchers match the right asset set to the right job—fast. Instead of chasing updates, leadership gets a single operational truth: utilization, availability, and commitments, plus client-ready reporting. The system is designed to feel auditable and professional, aligning with how established contractors operate—clear decision interfaces, not “software for software’s sake.”
How
Inputs: asset registry (type, service line, capability notes, base location), project registry (location, service line, phase, priority, planned dates), availability dates, speed assumptions for ETA estimates, daily logs (hours, progress, downtime tags), and dispatch notes/checklists.
Mechanisms: map-based visibility, phase-based tracking, and a simple recommendation score that ranks assets by availability, estimated travel/ETA, and capability fit (configurable assumptions for demo/pilot).
Outputs: national operations map, asset and project snapshots, dispatch assignments with ETA + mobilization checklist + risk notes, lightweight planned-vs-actual progress views, completion forecasts (estimate), and exportable PDF project reports suitable for client updates and internal leadership.
